Design for the Main Sanctuary Ark and Stained Glass

Below are four variations on the ark doors, together with the walnut ark and the double helix stained glass
The ark doors in the above version derive from the previous "sculptural" design for the ark and consist of vertical wood and glass elements. The division of the face of the ark into a grid pattern, as shown above, is partly necessitated by the need to seam the walnut veneer and also to allow for construction, transportation and installation of the completed ark.
 
These ark doors represent a dynamic interpretation with text and color
 
The ark doors, above, represent an all-wood interpretation using two colors of wood, in a flush parquetry style
 
Above, the walnut doors have art glass inserts, which create a spectrum from blue to gold. In this version we have incorporated raised letter text on the inside of the cabinet.
