studio visit on Rabbi's day off
Rabbi observes the progress

Rabbi George dropped by early this morning to peek at the progress and discuss the texts for the windows.

Michelle shows Rabbi George the pieces removed from the lay out which she is getting ready to paint today.

Michelle cuts resist
Here is Michelle, cutting the resist which has been applied to the pieces that will be painted. The design is drawn on the resist with pencil and the lines are then removed with an xacto knife, exposing the glass, beneath.

The oil base enamel stain is painted onto the exposed parts of the glass. After the paint dries, the resist is removed and the pieces of glass are placed into the kiln and fired to a very specific temperature to make the paint a permanent part of the glass.
